Located just off of I-4 in Plant City, Parkesdale Farm Market might at first seem like your regular run of the mill farmer’s market on the side of the road, but a quick walk around their market, gardens, and shop areas will show you that at Parkesdale there truly is something for everyone. Founded in 1956, this local staple has become the largest family-operated Strawberry and Citrus Market in all of Florida! Legendary for their strawberry shortcake and milkshakes, Parkesdale also offers a wide range of fresh and cooked goods. They also offer a variety of plants and garden supplies for anyone with a green thumb or anyone aspiring to have one!

Atmosphere: A casual ambiance with vintage Americana throwback elements, this is the perfect after school or weekend stop if you’re out exploring. If you decide to indulge in one of Parkesdale Farm Market’s sweet treats make sure you stop to enjoy it within their beautiful tropical gardens! Their gardens are lush with blooming plants - some of which you can take home with you for a few bucks!

Food: If you like strawberries than this is the place for you! Parkesdale Farm Market offers over 8 varieties of strawberry shortcake. From the classic with shortcake, berries, and whipped cream to the Strawberry Boat or even just plain berries with no added sugar, they have the combination to fit your sweet tooth! Their Strawberry milkshake, made fresh with their farm grown berries, is a personal favorite. At only $2.50 you can’t beat the price!

Shopping: Do you like fresh produce? How about locally made jams and baked goods? Parkesdale offers a large variety of food items for sale. From fresh serrano peppers, to Florida oranges, to strawberry syrup, they offer quality items for low prices to fill your pantry and fridge. Don’t forget to explore their gardens to find a new plant to take home too! Their flowers, cacti, and foliage are healthier than many local chain stores’ plants and they are reasonably priced too!
